Welcome

Welcome to my summer math blog. I have set this up in order to support and encourage your wonderful children to keep up all they learned. I also want to strengthen their basic math skills. Often it was the details of computation that got in the way of their success. My goal is to help the students be ready for sixth grade. At a minimum, each child should work on stregthening their basic math skills. Even in the sixth grade, students come in lacking a solid foundation in the basics. This adversely effects some of the higher order concepts they obtain. Whether students commit to one 45-60 minute session a week or a few shorter sessions, it is important for them to work on addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division. While I will include decimal and fractions in process, please keep reviewing the basics. Feel free to post questions and I will post answers. My hope is that I can update the posts and respond to comments at least twice a week. Thank you for going on this journey with me. I am trying this for the first time. Sincerely, Mrs. Glick
